The city of St. Joseph has named an interim city manager to take the place of Frank Walsh when he leaves next week.
WSJM reports that John Hodgson will fill the role. He's currently the Community Development Director and Zoning Administrator.
Three finalists have been selected for interviews to fill the spot full time and they will all be interviewed next Saturday, May 11. The candidates being considered for the permanent post include James Freed, Erik Wilson and Richard Lewis.
Freed was most recently the city manager in Stanton, Michigan, Wilson worked in Plainewell, and Lewis was the city manager in Traverse City.
Walsh's last day in St. Joseph is next Monday. He is retiring his post to become the township manager of Meridian Charter Twp.
