U.S. Olympic swimmer Cullen Jones will be going for gold again Friday in the 50-meter freestyle.
The 28-year-old considers it his best event, but its not just his accomplishments in the pool that make him a hero.
Author of “Speed to Glory” Natalie Davis Miller speaks about how he got to where he is now.
"He was like a lot of children, didn't know how to swim. A lot of African American children who don't know how to swim on a family vacation, went down a water slide on an inter tube and didn't come back up. So he had to be rescued and resuscitated. His mom put him in swimming lessons the next week at five years old, by eight he was competing, and so here he is today." Miller said. "
