Power failiure stops South Shore trains

Several South Shore trains between South Bend and East Chicago were stopped Sunday morning because of a commercial power loss in Porter County.

That incident also caused a large amount of damage to a substation.

South Shore sent buses to bring people to South Bend. Passengers waited hours for the busses to come, and some even decided to split cabs, which cost them up to $100.
