The South Shore Line is reminding Michiana passengers that part of their commute to Chicago will include buses for the next couple weeks while crews replace a bridge.

During this time, the rail service will be busing passengers between South Bend and the Carroll Ave. Station in Michigan City. They actually recommend you drive to the Carroll Ave. stop if you can to avoid delays.

During the construction, some trains are also cancelled. You can find out which trains are cancelled online. We have a link to that website on the Big Red Bar.
