A South Bend teen was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to two of the three charges he was originally charged with.
Cameron Lewis, 17, was sentenced Tuesday to 100 years combined on two charges. Lewis was charged with attempted murder, criminal deviant conduct, both class A felonies.
That deviant conduct charge is for the sexual assault.
According to court documents, the woman he assaulted had her throat deeply slashed numerous times and suffered a punctured lung from a stab wound to her back.
It is alleged that Lewis admitted to police that he thought he killed the woman, so he dragged her down the basement and left her home.
The alleged motive behind the incident was robbery.
Investigators say the woman was also sexually assaulted.
