Suspect on the loose after 2 shot in South Bend


SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend police are searching for a suspect after a home invasion turned shooting that wounded at least three people in the 400 block of East Fairview Ave.

It happened around 8 p.m. Monday.

Two people in their 20's were shot in the torso, according to police. They were both conscious and alert when police arrived. At least one other person told police he was hurt by broken glass.

The victims' grandmother told NewsCenter16 the two victims were cousins.

Officers are searching for one suspect, last seen eastbound, according to police.
