The sentencing of a South Bend man arrested in relation to a 2011 armed robbery has been continued until May 29.

Bryant Hunt, 28, pled guilty to the attempted robbery of Dietrich Perkins, a native of Hammond, Indiana, who was shot while driving his car in November 2011.

Perkins’ body was later found next to a dumpster on Lathrop and Johnson St.

As part of Hunt’s plea agreement, the murder charge against him was dropped as Hunt agreed to testify against two other individuals accused in the homicide.

Now, Freemond Jordan, 29 is charged with the murder of Perkins, and Forest Lamar Jr., 19, has been charged with attempted murder relating to the case.
