South Bend, Ind. A third leader in charge of developing the new shelter at South Bend Animal Care and Control has been fired.
On Friday, shelter manager Kim Lucas was let go.
She was recently appointed shelter manager, while the search for a director was ongoing.
No word yet on the circumstances of her dismissal.
Back in April, the shelter's longtime director, Gary Libbey, was fired as well.
And not long before that, Libbey’s boss, Catherine Toppel, the director of code enforcement, left her job.
