South Bend, Ind. Kids got their hands dirty Sunday afternoon, all in the name of art.
Family Day at the South Bend Museum of Art brought out plenty of families. The kids made bird feeders, landscapes and even puzzle pieces.
Everything was inspired by Photographer Ansel Adam's work, which is on display in the museum right now.
“When they can come to museum and work with materials that artist work with then go downstairs and see the art it makes more relevant to them because they can start to put those connections together and understand,” says Candie Waterloo the Education Coordinator.
Another family day is scheduled for December 8. It's all free but space is limited.
