Jet skis collide head-on on Diamond Lake

A head-on water accident on Diamond Lake late Monday afternoon could have been a lot worse.

The crash involved two jet skis and happened around 4:30 p.m. on the south side of the lake.

Amber Besaw, 16, says she and a friend were adjusting settings on their water craft when they were hit head-on by the driver of another.

Besaw was injured, but sought her own medical treatment. She says the driver of the other craft took off heading east on the lake.

The Cass County Sheriff's Department is investigating, and anyone who witnessed the accident should give them a call.
