Sentencing trial for SB bus driver delayed

The sentencing trial for a South Bend bus driver accused of having sex with a 16 year-old students has been delayed a year.

Monisha Simpson, 33, was found guilty of knowingly seducing a football player back in January of 2012. Court documents say the victim initially told Simpson he was really 18. The School Board fired Simpson as soon as charges were filed.

Judge Chambelee gives a "deferred judgment of conviction over the states objection" as the reason for Friday's delay.
