Sentencing delayed for man facing child porn charges

St. Joe Co., Ind. The sentencing for a St. Joe County U.S. Army vet facing federal charges for downloading sexually explicit photos and videos of teenagers and pre-pubescent kids has been rescheduled.

You may remember back in October 2012 when James Braun, 68, was arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography.

In June 2012, computer forensic specialists discovered 81 pictures and eight videos of child porn on a computer in his office.

Some of that content featured kids under the age of 12.

Three days after his October arrest, Braun posted his $50,000 bond and was released from the St. Joseph County Jail, which oftentimes holds individuals with federal charges until their trials in U.S. District Court.

Then, on March 19, 2013, Braun entered a guilty plea.

And because of his admitted guilt, Braun was re-booked at the St. Joseph County Jail on April 11 where he's been awaiting his sentencing.

That sentencing has been rescheduled for August 7 at 1:30 p.m. in the U.S. District Courthouse in downtown South Bend.
