The hazardous winter weather continued into Friday, and so did slide offs and accidents on the road.
One of those accidents slowed traffic on the toll road to a crawl Friday morning.
A semi jack-knifed and slid off the road into the median.
The driver was not injured, but officers are --as always-- warning drivers to be especially careful.
“We're lucky here that this was just a single vehicle crash, because she was travelling with another semi that, fortunately, was not involved,” Indiana State trooper Ted Bohner. “So just slow down and increase the distance between you and the other vehicles that are on the road”.
He said both lanes of the toll road may have to be closed very briefly in order to get the semi out.
