Free screenings to be held for abdominal aortic aneurysms

More than one million Americans are living with an undiagnosed abdominal aortic aneurysm. The aneurysm can be deadly if it bursts.

Later this month, those who are considered at-risk can get a free ultrasound screening.

Dr. Imraan Ansaarie is an interventional cardiologist at the South Bend Clinic. Dr. Ansaarie joined Tricia Sloma on 16 Morning News to discuss the risk factors.

The free screenings will be held on Saturday, September 29th at Kroger on Ireland Road. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
