From a REAL Services media release:

This Saturday, June 7th is the largest annual fundraiser for Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana.

There is still time to sign up or donate to our St. Joseph County Walk at Newton Park by going to

Registration and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m., and the walk kicks off at 9:30 a.m.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services has been helping families in 11 northern Indiana counties for more than 32 years.

This fundraiser pays for our services, so we may provide them to families at no cost. In addition, 100% of the money raised stays in our local communities.

The services we provide include private family counseling, support groups, grants for respite care, community education, and a 24-hour hotline. In 2013, we helped more than 10,000 families.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services also operates Milton Day Services for St. Joseph County residents. Milton is one of the only facilities of its kind in our area. It provides a safe, nurturing family environment where care givers can bring their loved ones from 7:00am-5:00pm. Monday through Friday.

New this year is our affiliation with REAL Services, Inc. Our connection with this high profile, high quality service provider has increased our reach and reputation. The demand for our services has increased too, as these diseases continue to touch the lives of more individuals and their families.
