Saint Mary's holds annual Late Night Desserts

The semester is coming to an end, and Saint Mary's students are getting a rush, of sugar. Saint Mary's Late Night Desserts is a tradition at the end of spring semester.

It's also a good break for those who are hitting the books hard, in preparation for final exams. Dozens of students met in the student center tonight to enjoy their treats. Breakfast, donuts and other sweets were some of the items on the menu.

"So every semester we have late night breakfast on the first night of finals,” said Karen Johnson Saint Mary's V.P. of student affairs. “And our students have been wanting bacon so we've been adding bacon to the menu the last couple of items. We use to do breakfast in December and desserts in the spring but the students wanted breakfast back. So we'll serve anywhere from six to eight to nine hundred of our students."

Saint Mary's graduation is Saturday, May 18.
