SOUTH BEND, Ind. More than 200 people are waiting to ring in the new year at the Palais Royale in downtown South Bend.
They've spent the night enjoying a four-course meal and dancing to the musical stylings of the Tom Milo Big Band.
This is the 12th year for the event, which allows guests to ring in 2014 with some sophistication.
“We get a great crowd of people in here, all walks of life that come in here,” explained Jesse Vogel, director of sales. “To have a very elegant New Year's celebration - it's not the loud, dancy, smoky New Year's Eve bar, but it's a real fun night.”
The fun will continue well past midnight with more music and dancing.
