MISHAWAKA Nearly 300 former Allcare Dental and Denture patients have received their refunds.

The national dental chain abruptly closed several of its Indiana locations in 2011, including the Mishawaka location. The closure meant many patients lost their dental devices and refunds. Some patients were out as much as $9,000, according to Michiana’s News Cannel.

The attorney general's office recently paid out more than half a million dollars to affected patients through the Consumer Protection Assistance Fund. The maximum repayment allowed through the program is $3,000.
