The city of South Bend turned into an obstacle course this morning as part of the Urban Adventure Games.

Teams made their way through city streets stopping to complete tasks like making it to the top of this rock climbing wall right outside our WNDU studios.

Even Mayor Pete Buttigieg got in on the fun.

The race ended at the cove... Teams started making it across the finish line at around ten a-m.

Participants say the event is a great way to showcase south bend and create excitement.

“It’s actually something of a scavenger hunt and it helps to know the area,” said Andrew Scott, a participant. “It’s actually a fun to get out and see parts of South Bend that you haven’t seen before, you know, do something different.”

After crossing the finish line, teams got to hang out at the cove for music, snacks and some drinks.
