ELKHART, Ind.--- In Elkhart a shortage of drivers is keeping RV's on manufacturer lots.
Elkhart's RV makers usually pay companies to transport their finished RV’s, but lately those companies say they're having trouble finding drivers for thousands of vehicles.
According to our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth, RV transport groups were invited to a meeting today at Elkhart's RV Hall of Fame to discuss the issue.
Former Elkhart Mayor Dave Miller, now president of an RV transport company, blames poor treatment of drivers for the shortage.
He says they need more flexible hours, and relaxed rules about how they deliver RV's.
