South Bend, Ind. A local company has completed the relocation of its distribution center. The occasion was marked Tuesday with a ribbon cutting at the new facility on Dylan Drive in South Bend.
Even Indiana Governor Mike Pence was on hand. RACO moved its distribution hub to South Bend, from South Holland, Illinois.
“Well we opened up a brand new facility here, 105,000 square foot, we got about eighty new employees that we hire between here and our RACO facility over off of Sample Street and we are moving about 500, 000 to 600,000 pieces a day out of this facility right here,” says Chris Hildebrandt the VP and General Manager for RACO.
RACO is the world's largest manufacturer of steel electrical junction boxes.
