Pulaski official speaks out about suspension

The former highway superintendent of Pulaski County is sharing his side of the story about actions that led to his suspension last month.

Earlier in February, folks packed into the County Commissioners' meeting to show support for highway superintendent Kenny Becker, and his administrative assistant Lin Morrison.

Commissioners say employees were leaving the job site 15 minutes early and then one person would clock everyone out at quitting time.

Kenny Becker responded to those accusations this morning.

He says, while that is essentially true, the employees who left the job site were still working.

He says they had to drive the snow plows home, so they would be ready in case of an emergency.

He says it would be a liability to let them drive county equipment on personal time.

Becker and Morrison have both returned to work, but Becker was reassigned to the position of general manager.
