South Bend, Ind. The public will get another chance next week to weigh in on proposed changes to laws governing pet ownership in South Bend.
The ordinance would tighten and clarify the rules currently on the books. For example, it would increase emphasis on spaying and neutering pets.
The public forum will be held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center on West Linden Street from 5:30 to 7 pm on Thursday, April 17.
It’s estimated that 67% of South Bend residents are pet owners. South Bend Animal Care and Control as well as other local shelters are expected to attend the discussion.
