A blast from a wrecking ball, uncovered a blast from the past.
The sign displayed at 755 South Michigan St. in South Bend identifies that building as the “future home of Len's Guns.”
The property just so happens to be right next door to the South Bend Center for the Homeless.
The sign is actually an old one, that was uncovered by demolition crews late last week. It was displayed as a kind of joke by the building's previous owner.
The city bought 755 South Michigan in 2010, and donated it to the Center for the Homeless.
Once the entire structure is demolished, part of the lot will house a basketball court, while part will be used for parking.
