Pope prays for victims of Sandy

Pope Benedict said today that he is praying for the victims of Sandy and expressed solidarity with those working to clean up the damage.

The Pope spoke to pilgrims as rain and wind pounded Saint Peter's Square during his weekly public audience.

He said he was aware of the devastation to the East Coast of the United States adding that he offered, quote, "My prayers for the victims and I express my solidarity with all those engaged in the work of rebuilding."
