Police investigating large scale chop shop and drug bust in Mishawaka

St. Joseph County Police are continuing to investigate a vehicle chop shop and Marijuana grow operation discovered Monday in the 55000 block of Filbert Road in Mishawaka.

Monday, police received an anonymous tip about a stolen car and were investigating the property when they uncovered evidence of a Marijuana grow operation capable of producing over $1 million of illegal drugs, according to a press release sent out by St. Joseph County Police.

Police recovered the stolen car, as well as seized enough marijuana plants to make up a street value $100,000.

Because of the ongoing investigation, no suspect information has being released.
