Dowagiac police are investigating an armed robbery that happened on West Wayne St. this morning.
At around 8:30 a.m. a 27 year-old Dowagiac resident was walking along the 300 block of West Wayne when he was approached from behind.
The suspect demanded money from the man and proceeded to take his wallet and run off. The victim told police that when he turned around he saw two black males, possibly in their late teens, running down the street.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken, but the wallet was found in the area later on. Investigating officers were assisted by the Cass County Sheriff's Department as well as by the city's K9 unit.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Dowagiac Police Department.
