Police investigate a hit and run accident in Edwardsburg

Police say alcohol was a factor in a hit and run accident in Edwardsburg Sunday night.

It happened around six o'clock near the intersection of U.S. 12 and Eagle Lake Road. Police say the driver, Aziz Rehman, of Niles was headed southbound on Eagle Lake Road when he pulled out in front of another car headed west on U.S. 12.

Rehman left the scene, traveling southbound on Eagle Lake Road. He was found in a field near the intersection of Eagle Lake Road and May Street.
