Police hope new photo helps solve old death case

Police have released a newly created photo, hoping it will lead to new information concerning the identity of a body found in New Buffalo 20 years ago.

In 1992, a person was walking near red arrow highway and saw what looked a body wrapped in a garbage bag.

A coroner later determined that a woman, possibly in her late 60's, died of natural causes, but someone had wrapped her body in a sheet, towel, and garbage bag, cut off her hands... And removed her dentures, before dumping her.

Using her skull, a picture was reconstructed.

Despite all the media coverage it has been getting, police have only received one tip.

Someone told them that the victim looks like a person in a photo at an antique store.

Police are checking out the tip.
