On Monday, after a minor car accident, police found 32-year-old Mary Patterson at the corner of Church and Lincolnway East with a gunshot wound to her stomach.
Patterson was originally listed in critical condition at an area hospital, but Wednesday WNDU learned she's since been released.
Detectives however remain puzzled about the shooting, saying Patterson’s story has changed repeatedly.
A follow-up police interview is in the works and investigators hope to figure out exactly what happened.
