A Benton Harbor teen, accused in a string of sexual assaults and other crimes, has pleaded guilty to rape.

The Herald Palladium reports that 17-year-old Derrien Brown could be sentenced to life in prison after entering guilty pleas on four felony charges in two separate cases. Prosecutors dismissed 18 other charges as part of a plea agreement.

He is accused of breaking into the home of a 22-year-old Benton Harbor woman back in January and raping her in the middle of the night, in front of her 11-year-old brother.

Brown is accused in several other home invasion and sexual assault cases.

He is being held in the Berrien County jail, waiting for sentencing on May 20th.
