Possible charges were pending Sunday night against the 10 teens who ran from police at an Elkhart party early Sunday and toward the St. Joseph River.
A rescue operation, including a fire boat, was then launched when one of the teens could not be found.
Officers caught four of the teens before the river and caught-up with five on the other side, but one was unaccounted for.
So the elkhart fire department dispatched boats and fifteen crew members to search for the teen near the six span bridge.
He was found safe on land nearby within the hour.
Firefighters say it was a fortunate ending because the river's currents can always be dangerous, especially when it's dark.
The teens were all released to their parents.
