Overnight car crash in Benton Harbor leaves one person dead

Benton Harbor, Mich. An overnight wreck in Benton Harbor left one person dead and another injured.

Police say 20-year-old Steven Henry Junior was speeding north down Bishop Street just before 1:30 Friday morning, when he ran the stop sign at East Empire Avenue, and t-boned another vehicle.

Henry was thrown from his pick-up truck and pronounced dead at the scene. Natalie Bird, 33, was also hurt in the crash, but has since been treated and released from the hospital.

Toxicology reports are now being conducted to determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role.
