Oregon-Davis graduate hospitalized after car crash

A 20-year-old Oregon-Davis High School graduate is in critical condition after a wreck in Miami County Friday night.

Lorrin Awald allegedly hit a patch of black ice on State Road 16 and rolled over, just after 10 p.m. Friday. That's according to our reporting partners at WKVI.

Three other people were hurt and were taken to the hospital.

Lorrin's family says she's making progress Saturday, and they continue to hold onto their faith.

Awald graduated from Oregon-Davis in 2011, and wrote a song in memory of her cousin, Drew Shearin, who was killed in October 2011 when his car struck a telephone pole, just east of Knox.
