Two young men suffered gunshot wounds after a shooting Tuesday morning in South Bend's west side.
It happened at around 7:52 a.m. in the 100 block of S. Walnut, just off of Washington St.
Emergency crews arrived and found one person was shot in the arm, and transported him to Memorial Hospital.
Shortly afterward, another young man arrived at Memorial Hospital with a gun shot wound. Police said it is unclear where he was shot.
Both men appear to be between the ages of 17 and 20. Cpt. Phil Trent of the South Bed Police Dept. believes the second victim is somehow linked to the Walnut St. shooting.
As of 11:45 a.m. one of the males was released from the hospital and was taken to the police station for questioning. The other victim remains in the hospital.
Police remained in the area for several hours after the shooting, looking at properties on and around Jefferson St.
No arrests have been made.
