One person was taken to the hospital tonight after a five-car pile-up in Elkhart during rush hour.
That's according to our reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth.
It happened just before 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of East Jackson Boulevard and Goshen Avenue, that's on the city's northeast side.
According to one man involved in the wreck, he and the other drivers were headed west on East Jackson, and were stopped at the Goshen Avenue stoplight when the crash occurred.
That's when one car hit another from behind pushing the vehicles in front of it into each other.
A white sedan with heavy front-end damage appeared to have hit a dark gray minivan, starting the domino effect. The woman driving the third car in the line was taken to the hospital with chest pain. The other drivers were not hurt.
East Jackson was temporarily closed between Kenyon and Kenwood Avenues while emergency crews investigated the accident.
