One person dead from injuries in head-on collision

Fulton County, Ind. One person has died from their injuries after a crash in Fulton County involving three vehicles.

Just after 5:15 Thursday evening, a pick-up truck and a box truck collided head on State Rd. 25 near County Road 600 S.

Janet Long, 45, of Rochester, who was driving the pick-up, had to be extricated and was air-lifted to the hospital but later died. The driver of the box truck, Justin Angle, 28, of Logansport, also had to be extricated and air-lifted to the hospital. He is in stable but good condition.

A third driver, Kelly Nelson, 43, of Fulton, wasn’t injured but her vehicle was damaged by the debris.

Witnesses tell police that Long’s vehicle crossed the center line and hit Angle’s truck, but what caused that is unknown at this time. Angle’s load of processed duck spilled across the road, forcing authorities to close down the road for about 7 hours.
