Odd-year elections may soon come to an end in the city of Niles.

WSJM reports that the city council will hold a public hearing next month to discuss shifting city elections to even-numbered years.

The move is largely meant to cut down on costs, since each election costs about $4,600 dollars.

The hearing will be held on May 13th, just before the regular council meeting at the city fire station.
