Notre Dame receives big donation from two alum

South Bend, Ind. A nice way to start the big game weekend at Notre Dame is with an extremely generous donation from two of their alum.

It came in the form of $27 million from Matthew Walsh and his wife Joyce. In response, the University will name, in their honor, a new building for the school of architecture.

The new 60,000 square foot building will be located on the south end of the Notre Dame Campus, east of the Debartolo Performing Arts Center.

Notre Dame's architecture program is considered one of the nation's leading programs.
