Notre Dame fan knocks out Alabama fan during watch party

An Alabama and Notre Dame fan exchanged heated words while viewing the championship game at a local bar Monday, leading to a fight.

A handful of Crimson Tide fans were among dozens of Fighting Irish loyals as they watched what many thought would be a close match-up.

But, after Alabama took an early lead, the mood at Corby's quickly changed.

As Fighting Irish fans' smiles started to fade, the few Alabama fans in the bar could be seen dancing and holding up the sign for number one.

At some point, words were exchanged, leading a Notre Dame fan to take a swing at an Alabama fan.

The fight spilled outside, where bar staff quickly broke it up.

Emotions were running so high, the Fighting Irish fan's punch knocked the Alabama fan out temporarily, leaving him with a bloody face.

Despite the brawl, South Bend police weren't called to the scene.

Corby's security promptly kicked the fans out.
