North Webster man stabbed, in serious condition

A North Webster man is in serious condition after he was stabbed several times overnight.

Just before 1:00 Friday morning police responded to an area around County Road 85 East, south of County Road 500 North after a number of witnesses called 911 saying a man came to their door bleeding extensively and seeking shelter.

Police later found 33-year-old Travis Osbun just outside his North Webster home with at least four stab wounds to the chest area.

He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

19-year-old Billy Pearson of Leesburg has since been taken into custody in connection with the stabbing and now faces preliminary charges of aggravated battery.

Police say Osbun got into a fight with his girlfriend and went to the Pearson's house to cool off.

He allegedly got tired of Osbun and asked him to leave and when Osbun refused, Pearson began stabbing him.
