North Carolina company exands fruit recall

A North Carolina company has expanded a recall that could likely affect the entire country.

The FDA says a company that has already recalled thousands of cantaloupes is now recalling honeydew melons because they may be contaminated with listeria.

Burch Equipment is recalling all of this growing season's cantaloupes and honeydew melons that could still be on the market.

The FDA says the states of Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Vermont and West Virginia. However the fruit may have been further distributed to other states.

If you already bought some cantaloupe or honeydew melons and you want to know if they are part of the recall, ask the store if they got them from "Burch Farms."
