Wednesday afternoon, there's a new push for a South Bend commission that was started more than a decade ago.
It's called the South Bend Commission on the Social Status of Black Males.
Wednesday's luncheon was to establish the tools currently available in the city and county, and set up a grassroots initiative to help black males across the city.
City leaders and average citizens plan to work together to give more opportunities and information to help make South Bend better, as the commission becomes more active within the community.
