New federal charges are pending in the shooting death of an Indianapolis police officer.
U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett scheduled a Thursday morning news conference to announce new charges in the January 2011 slaying of
Officer David Moore.
It's not clear who's being charged, but Hogsett says Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry and representatives from federal and local law enforcement agencies also will attend the news conference.
Moore was shot during a routine traffic stop. Sixty-one-year-old Thomas Hardy pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced in April to
life in prison without parole plus 40 years.
