Starting April 1, the intersection of Ironwood Rd. and Auten Rd. in Granger will be closed as construction begins on the roundabout.
Crews from Seige Cosntruction Co., Inc., is running the project and expects to complete work by mid-to-late August.
In addition to the new roundabout, the St. Joseph County project will include new landscaping, curbs and gutters, storm sewers, pavement markings, as well as signage and roadway lighting. As a result of the construction telephone and electric utilities will be relocated.
Traffic for the busy intersection will be detoured through Hickory Rd and Cleveland Rd to the east and State Line Rd. and SR 933 to the west.
