New, local exhibit takes you back in time

South Bend If you have ever walked down the street and said, “I wonder what used to be here”, a new exhibit that just opened up may be for you.

This week the Studebaker National Museum opened “South Bend: Then and Now”. It is an exhibit that will take you through the streets of South Bend from years ago.

There are 34 images hanging throughout the exhibit. Each vintage image is paired with a current day shot to show how South Bend has changed or grown through the last century.

If you look close enough you will see some buildings are no longer there, while other buildings have been renovated and are still used today. You will see different forms of transportation and different clothing that was worn through the times.

For more information you can go to the Studebaker National Museum’s website or Facebook page. The new exhibit will run through September 5.
