New food at Amish Acres Arts and Crafts Festival

Nappanee, Ind. New food at Amish Acres Arts and Crafts Festival
It’s that time of year where thousands flock to Amish Acres in Nappanee to have some fun because the Amish Acres Arts and Crafts Festival starts Thursday.

This year marks the 52nd festival. There will be more than 300 unique artists from around the country showing off and selling their work.
Something new this year, Rise’ n Roll will be on the grounds selling their donuts along with Ben’s Soft Pretzels.

If you head out to the grounds this weekend, you can listen to live entertainment for free, eat tons of different types of food and of course shop.

The festival is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets cost $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, students between the ages of 12 -17 and military. Children under 12 are free. Plus, there is free parking available.

Amish Acres is located on Highway U.S. 6, one mile west of downtown Nappanee.

In 1962, the event started as a clothes line show in downtown Nappanee during sidewalk days, but has now grown to a massive festival for visitors across the country.
