Indiana business has gained national attention, as CNBC named it as the fifth most business-friendly state in the nation.

This week, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation announced it has worked with 145 companies who plan to expand business operations in Indiana, for a total of 13,000 new jobs.

Those jobs pay better than Indiana’s current average hourly wage of $19.36, at $20.93 per hour.

The state is especially friendly to auto companies. It boasts the 2nd largest motor vehicle industry in the country. The Hoosier state has commitments of more than 4200 new jobs this year in that industry alone.
