The Center for Hospice Care in Michiana is rapidly expanding. The new headquarters for the Center for Hospice Care is halfway finished.
It's located between Cedar Street and Central Park in Mishawaka along the river.
Some walking along the river may notice a short detour for now but once the building is done it's supposed to blend in.
It was designed to have an organic feel with stone and wood accents. It's also gives the center a calm and serene feeling, fulfilling the center's mission.
“I think it will be a wonderful reflection of the care that Hospice Care can bring,” says Cyndy Searfoss from the Center for Hospice Care.
Besides the new headquarters there are also two other buildings that will be renovated close by for palliative care and a guest house.
The three buildings altogether cost more than three million dollars.
