We've been reporting on record high temperatures here in Michiana for weeks and we're not the only ones feeling the heat.

According to Accuweather.com, nearly 2500 daily high temperature records were shattered – just in the first week of July.

But the biggest surprise is that 19 states have broken the all-time record highs 192 times since July.

That means this summer has brought the highest temperatures ever recorded in those areas.

Fort Wayne has seen the longest streak of brutally hot days since 1988.

Saturday was the 4th consecutive day of 100 plus degrees in the city.
